Interview
What was your first job as a journalist?
My first experience was writing a hands-on preview piece for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion back in 2006. Time flies.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Nope, but I once pretended to type on one.
How is social media changing news?
By making it easier and faster to access, but also allowing for the spread of misinformation. Always check your sources, folks.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Tell me why the pitch excites you. Why is it important? How does the subject make you feel?
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, but I was the Features Editor for my college newspaper.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
It's okay to suck at first, to feel like you're too slow. Keep writing, reading, and learning. It'll click.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Relaxing somewhere listening to my vinyl record collection, playing video games, or watching something on TV.
