AI just rewrote Photoshop, Premiere and Acrobat in 4 days. Adobe’s $23.8 billion question

The pitch was that artificial intelligence had made it possible to clone Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Acrobat Pro, After Effects and InDesign. The catch nobody mentioned: the same roadmaps inside those projects quietly say full parity is still weeks of work away, not a month.

NTC wants used phone sellers to pay P4,500 a year. The bill to fix the same problem has been stuck since 2022
Buying a used phone in the Philippines has always been a trust exercise. You hand over cash, and you hope the handset is not flagged as stolen, locked to somebody else’s Google or Apple account, or quietly failing in a way the seller will not own. For four years, the fix for that has been sitting in a House bill nobody passed. The National Telecommunications Commission is now trying to get there by a different road, and it has attached a price tag to the whole thing.
SM spent five years watching Landers, then moved in

Two weeks of discounts are about to get more expensive. Acer chairman and CEO Jason Chen told reporters in Taipei that the memory shortage squeezing his company is largely over, and that RAM and SSD prices should eventually come down. He also said PC prices are about to rise 5% to 20% this quarter. Both statements were true, in the same conversation. That contradiction is the story, and it is the part most write-ups left out. Chen is not forecasting cheaper laptops for you soon.

CICC lifts the Discord ban, apologizes to the students and freelancers it locked out
The Philippine government blocked one of the country’s most-used communication apps and then had to apologize for it. That is the shape of the last 24 hours around Discord: the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) geoblocked the platform, watched students miss classes and freelancers lose access to the tools they work on, and then had its own Director say, publicly, “We do apologize sa mga affected.” The ban is now being lifted.
Discord is blocked on Globe, GOMO and TNT. Reddit was spared. Filipino freelancers pay for it.
Discord is blocked in the Philippines on some of the country’s biggest mobile networks, while Reddit is not. Both platforms were handed the same 24-hour ultimatum by the government. Only one answered it inside the window, and the cost is landing on Filipino freelancers and virtual assistants who use Discord for work, not play.
