Carmen Phillips’s Biography
I've been writing about science and medicine for about 15 years, mostly working for nonprofits/government.
Started out writing about infectious disease and blood banking, moved on to cardiology, and more than 8 years ago landed on cancer.
In the meantime got a Masters in medical/science writing from Johns Hopkins; became very interested in food, cooking, and policies that affect agriculture and the food supply; and became a soccer fanatic, playing and watching whenever and where ever I can.
