Reader's View: Enact term limits for those in power too long
Too many have not read the Bible and do not know they are on a slippery slope to Hell. President Joe Biden seems full of envy and hate and seems to lack compassion and common sense. He comes off as greedy for money and power — like too many of our long-term politicians. Members of Congress need to retire at 65. The country wants term limits. Wealthy people seem to think they are elite. They control most of our media. Many people are uninformed. Self-centered people think they are elite.
Reader's View: Conservative speech is being censored
The Bible warns against the love of money. Wealthy globalists and wealthy socialists seem to be trying to control us and undermine our democracy. Greed is destroying our country and our world. Democrats are fighting voter ID, although the people want it, according to Pew Research . It is outrageous what President Joe Biden and crooked district attorneys and judges are doing to former President Donald Trump. I believe Big Tech is censoring conservative speech.
Reader's View: Americans do not want what Democrats offer
I am deeply concerned about the Democrats and their bad decisions. The people of this country do not want socialism. We want fair elections with Voter ID. We do not want 51 states so Democrats can always control us. We do not want open borders. We do not want our currency taken away and replaced by trackable digital currency. We do not want former President Barack Obama and billionaire philanthropist George Soros controlling President Joe Biden. Obama wanted to transform our country.
Reader's View: Life isn’t about what we accumulate
We can live a self-centered life, or we can live a God-centered life. If you choose a God-centered life, I believe you will experience joy and will spend eternity in heaven. If you choose a self-centered life, you always want more money and power, it seems; you will hate others and want to control them. I believe you will spend eternity in hell. The Bible’s book of Romans says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Reader's View: Democrats are robbing America
Our country is in serious trouble. Democrats cannot win a fair election without cheating, the movie, “2000 Mules,” made clear. The film argues that Democrats stole the 2020 election. It included an allegation that they paid people $5 per ballot at drop boxes. They pay people to riot and destroy. They are robbing the American people with reckless spending. They persecute one of the best presidents we have ever had, and they replaced him with an incompetent partisan who seems to hate the people.

We watch in horror the monstrous actions of Russian President Vladimir Putin. We fear monster dictators in multiple countries who seem to think only of themselves. We have self-centered monsters in our country greedy for more money and power. They are dishonest and do not care about the citizens of our country. Tax-and-spend Democrats want to force us to overspend on bad ideas. They put the safety of our country at risk. Our country, although imperfect, was founded by people who knew and feared God.

Democrats use the word "misinformation" to dismiss contrary opinion as bogus while simultaneously attempting to elevate their own opinion as fact. I refer to a letter in this newspaper a few weeks back. I have never seen such hysteria over a less-than-300-word letter proofread by the newspaper’s editorial chief. It reminded me of an old phrase used by men in the U S.

I was dismayed to see not a peep about the choice of Los Angeles Rams Offensive Coordinator Kevin O'Connell as the Minnesota Vikings' apparent new head coach in the Thursday, Feb. 3 e-edition of the News Tribune. I understand O’Connell can't be signed by the Vikings until after the Super Bowl, but with other Minnesota newspapers displaying banner headlines about his selection on Thursday, Feb.
Reader's View: Freedom of speech means all opinions
I feel people have forgotten the most important thing we should and need to remember: the First Amendment to the Constitution. Our forefathers thought freedom of speech was so important that it needed to be No. 1. I appreciated the News Tribune stating that the Opinion page is open to all viewpoints and that all letters it publishes express legitimate opinions (“ From the Editor: Opinion page open to all opinions ,” Jan. 26). Can we respectfully agree to disagree?
Reader's View: Regarding Ukraine, US is the aggressor
The U.S. is easily the world’s largest and most sophisticated military power, spread across approximately 750 bases worldwide. Russia has about 21 bases, almost all in former Soviet republics. President Ronald Reagan’s Cold War onslaught was drenched in exaggeration of Soviet power and claims of U.S. moral superiority. Then as now he could count on the American press to dutifully report it to an already propagandized populace. Times haven’t changed.

Psalm 14 in the Bible says, “The fool says in his heart, ‘There is no God.’” In I Timothy, it reads, “The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.” Highly paid union jobs are a primary cause of the high cost of college education and unaffordable housing. These jobs lead to the increased use of automation and the losses of jobs for many. People who do not have cable TV have only been hearing the hate and bias of left-leaning media.

Millions of people voted for President Donald Trump because they wanted corruption in Washington, D.C., cleaned up. The mainstream media is so biased it went largely unreported that two men who had been in prison for three years in Iran were released, thanks to our president. People in Duluth live in fear of saying something that might offend someone. Twice, a pickup has followed me home. Perhaps the driver didn't like the bumper stickers on my vehicle. Intimidation is illegal.The unions in Duluth dominate School Board and City Council elections, which are supposed to be nonpartisan. Unions should not be allowed to contribute to political campaigns.Signs are an expensive part of a campaign.

Second, our schools are not providing the education our students need and deserve. Historical truth is no longer universally taught. Common Core has infiltrated every subject with teachings on sexuality — even in kindergarten. Math is not often taught in a usable form. Many students are not taught handwriting, and, as a result, they cannot read handwriting.

Many people in our country and in other countries are living in less-than-desirable situations. Some in other countries are in danger because of discrimination and lawlessness.
