We present Six Sigma-driven investigations and findings on product variation and material savings metrics for an EPDM rubber facility. Through the analysis of quality control data, the study found that tight-tolerance calender roll grinds reduced cross-machine direction thickness variation by 29 percent, with estimated daily material savings valued in excess of $4,000.
