Roberta was born February 15, 1936, the daughter of the late, Robert Oliver and Helen Marie Harrison Joyner. She married Harold Allan Spencer, August 11, 1957 in Washington State. He preceded her in death in 1993.

Born in Bayside, NY, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Rose Cella. She worked for many years as a floral designer. Irene loved to travel and spend time with her grandchild. She enjoyed driving her convertible with the top down. She was an avid Syracuse University Basketball fan. Irene was the first woman past District Deputy of the Elks Lodge in the Ontario District and the first woman Exalted Ruler of the Camillus Elks Lodges. She was also the New York State Elks Major Projects chairperson.
