A Christian Girl's Response To a Christian Guy's Struggle With Pornography
Dear brothers in Christ, I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry that you are bombarded every single day with images that truly shouldn’t exist. Images of girls showing parts of their bodies that only their husband should see. I’m so sorry that this is such an enormous avenue that Satan uses to warp your mind and rewire your brain to objectify women. While I can’t speak for all girls, I can and will speak for myself: I understand and feel compassion for you in this fight.
When It Comes to Transgender Pregnancy, More Common Sense Will Save Lives
In a recent story that made headlines, “Sam” (name changed in the media for privacy), a biological woman who identified as a transgender man, was brought to the hospital by her boyfriend because she had suffered through hours of severe abdominal pain. Her online medical records classified her as “male,” so the triage nurse who was running the tests on Sam naturally thought she was a biological man.
Faith-Based Solutions Are Vital to Preventing Veteran Suicide
By the end of every day, an average of 20 U.S. military veterans will have committed suicide. This number is staggering, especially when you consider the fact that less than 1 percent of the U.S. adult population are currently serving in the military. What happened? Ask Richard Glickstein and he’ll tell you that there are several reasons.
Behind Closed Doors: Abuse In Northern Kentucky University Women's Basketball Program
There is a deep, dark, hidden secret that lies within the women's basketball program at Northern Kentucky University which has been swept under the rug by the athletic department for three years.
The Young Professional's Perspective on Life in Washington, D.C.
Working in the nation's capital can be quite the experience. Movies like National Treasure and TV shows such as NCIS and Bones make Washington, D.C. seem like the place to be if you're in search of nonstop action and excitement. It very much so is, no matter what field of work you're in. There is always something to do, whether it's a networking event, a gala or banquet, a conference, or playing frisbee on the National Mall, it's hard to be bored in this city.

Gentle Strength: Why I'm Not a Feminist
The feminist movement is in full swing and nothing seems to be stopping it. Women are breaking away from the “chains” of oppression and showing the world what they can do. In a slew of my college classes I heard young women talk about how they do not want to be controlled by a man or submit to their husband. Being strong, independent, and successful in the corporate world seems to be what defines women today.
All The Single Ladies
“So is there a guy in your life right now?” I cringed as the word “guy” left her mouth and then I let out an annoyed laugh. This seems to be one of the top questions single girls get asked on a Christian college campus. I could be wrong, but I really don’t think so. It’s as if graduating college and being single is the worst thing that could happen to you.
No, You're Not Perfect
Workout. Drink lots of water. Nope, can’t eat that because you’ll get fat. Stay up as late as you need to in order to get an A+ on the assignment. Heavily apply concealer to cover the bags under your eyes. Make sure your wardrobe is always on point to keep up with the trends. Bust your butt in that job or internship because you need to show everybody that you’re capable, strong, and a fighter. Oh and don’t forget to find yourself a boyfriend.
Sisterhood at GCU
This past Wednesday, 22 girls gathered in Papago’s courtyard for a first annual Back to School Bash of food, games, prizes, and a time to mingle with other Lady Lopes. GCU’s Her Campus chapter geared up for a great year and is looking forward to spreading its name around the campus. GCU doesn’t have Greek Life, but through Her Campus girls can connect and meet new “sisters” by being a part of this community.
I Want to Go Homs
Just five years ago Homs was Syria’s third-largest city. More than one million people called Homs home, a place that was once an essential stopping point on the ancient road from the Mediterranean leading to India and China. Before the civil war began in 2011 and ISIS sieged much of the city, Homs possessed Syria’s largest oil plant and was the center for the country’s rails and roads.
