Cassandra Vinograd’s Biography

Cassandra Vinograd, a correspondent in the London bureau of The Associated Press, covers everything from British defense and politics to phone hacking and the royals. A die-hard news junkie, she works across formats and social media to highlight the bureau's stories, and helps coordinate TV, photo and text coverage of major events. She joined AP in 2010 and has interned with AP in both West Africa and London, where Cassandra's first day on the job was covering the London bombings. Prior to the AP, Cassandra spent three years as an editor at the Wall Street Journal in Brussels, then London. There, she led the news desk's daytime editing team for WSJ and WSJ.com. She also helped launch and manage the WSJ websites for Africa and the Middle East.
