What was your first job as a journalist?
AM Radio Station KSYX in New Mexico.
Have you ever used a typewriter?
Yes, I've used a typewriter. I learned on a non-electric typewriter that my folks owned.
How is social media changing news?
There is way too much made-up news and gossip in the new world of Social Media.
What does it mean to be a journalist?
To write THE truth - not my truth or what I want to believe, but THE TRUTH as it happened.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Email or snail mail.
What's your favorite social network?
Face Book then Twitter.
Who do you wish followed you?
Debbie Macomber and Laura Bush.
Why did you become a journalist?
I love to write and I love the truth.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
A vote-buying scandal in the small town where I lived and worked at a small AM Radio Station.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
WRITE! INVESTIGATE! RESEARCH! READ! R.E.P.E.A.T.

Anytime by email or snail mail. I don't answer unknown phone numbers.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Sewing, cooking, baking, crocheting, traveling.
