What was your first job as a journalist?
Got commissioned by Adowa Aboah's Gurls Talk who have supported me ever since!
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via Email!
Who do you wish followed you?
Fran Lebowitz, but I fear I'm not cool enough to be followed by her - that is if she even had social media, which she doesn't.
Why did you become a journalist?
Because I love writing and thought, 'there's no harm in trying!'
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I think my piece on Biden's relationship with Britain. I loved analysing policy and really getting to go in-depth with politics.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
You've got to have thick skin. Unfortunately, rejection comes with the job, but if you believe in your writing skills an editor will too.
When's the best time to pitch you?
Weekdays midday - it's when I'm most active on my emails so you're more likely to get a quick reply!
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
On a yoga mat
