Once or twice, in high school.

How is social media changing news?

News is served almost instantly, which is great. Sometimes served raw and unverified, which is not so great. Anyone is a news source.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To tell stories that are of importance to your audience so as to inform, educate and entertain them.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Writer and editor. A maverick, creative and pragmatic are likely the best adjectives where my work is concerned. A lover of people.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Google analytics, Tweetdeck, Photo editing tools, Grammarly, Tailwind, Slack, among others.

Why did you become a journalist?

Everyone has a story, and words are my craft. I have the gift of telling your story beautifully. Besides, I can't stand errors.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

There wasn't a high school newspaper, and at the time, I was into sports - never thought I'd find my way here.
