What was your first job as a journalist?

My first writing job was in editing. I edited press releases.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Clark Kent, because I'm amazed anyone can keep up with the full-time work of a writer while also saving the world.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means being able to keep others informed without bias.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Google searches, and basic office tech.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Someone asked me to write a press release for $0.01 a word.

What's your favorite drink?

Japanese green tea is one of my favorites. It's great for your stomach.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I enjoy reading Forbes since it's so varied.
