"Push Trump Off A Cliff" - Rosie O'Donnell "Sparks Outrage" With Trump Killing Game
Who taught Rosie O’Donnell how to code? The actress is drawing criticism from conservatives after tweeting a link to an online game called “Push Trump Off A Cliff.” The game, which is so low-quality it really does look like O’Donnell programmed it herself, allows players to press a button and watch an animated President Trump…jump off a cliff. Players can choose between four backgrounds: Trump can jump into a river, a fiery lake, a dense rainforest, or – bizarrely – an NYC pothole.

On Wednesday, when we reported on the latest set of powerful, shallow quakes to strike central Italy, which themselves were aftershocks of the deadly August 24 earthquake which killed 300 people and injured many more, we quoted Salvatore Mazza, the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology who said that "The earthquake today has further disrupted the tectonic plates, and in the coming hours we may see aftershocks of today’s earthquake on top of those from August 24", and concluded that...

Breslow: "Why Did Brainard Need To Remind Everyone That The Economy Had Suddenly Caught Pneumonia?"
By Richard Breslow, a former FX trader and fund manager who writes for Bloomberg. It seems clear in retrospect that Fed Governor Brainard’s speech yesterday was not aimed at investors. Rather, it was meant quite pointedly at her fellow voting members of the FOMC. After all, even with Fed speakers having been consistently hammering home a hawkish message since mid-August, the market was still only pricing about a 30% chance of a September move. The odds, by definition, were against an early move.
The Thin Veneer Of Civilization That We All Take For Granted Is Evaporating All Over The Globe
Submitted by Michael Snyder via The End of The American Dream blog, Have you noticed that the world seems to be going a little bit more crazy with each passing month? Here we are halfway through 2016, and the rot and decay that are eating at the foundations of civilized society seem to be rapidly gaining momentum. Every single day, all of us take certain things for granted as we go through our normal routines.
Goldman Reveals How China Is Covering Up Hundreds Of Billions In Capital Outflows
In order to mask the tremendous capital outflows leaving its country - in order to prevent and/or delay a depositor panic - China has resorted to various gimmicks: back in October, we reported that the first one involved the PBOC gradually shifting from FX spot intervention to the using forwards as a preferred mechanism of market intervention as it is not as obvious, or as transparent to detect, to wit: "we need to take account not only of the PBoC's non-spot market intervention efforts in...

First Treasuries, Now China Is Also Liquidating US Stocks
One year ago, this website was the first to observe that when combined with its offshore Belgium-held holdings, China was first slowly then fast liquidating its Treasury holdings, an observation which led us to correctly predict that China would proceed to devalue its currency, which it did shortly after.

Goldman's Fed Post-Mortem: "Yellen Was More Dovish Than Expected"
While we are laughing at Yellen burying what little credibility the Fed may have had left both with her statement and her answers to press Q&A, here is Goldman. BOTTOM LINE: Fed officials indicated a cautious approach in today’s statement and economic projections. In the Summary of Economic Projections, the number of participants anticipating only one rate hike this year rose to six from one, although the median remained at two.
Follow The Yellow Brick Road
Submitted by Jeff Thomas via InternationalMan.com, For over a hundred years, it’s been theorised that author L. Frank Baum wrote his 1900 book, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz”, as a fanciful way to explain the economic situation at the time and that the Yellow Brick Road was a reference to the path created by gold ownership. Whether or not the theory is correct, for many people today, “Follow the Yellow Brick Road” might serve as a mantra for alleviating economic woes.
"Dear Refugees: This Is How To Interact With Our Women" - Austrian Politician Releases Scandalous Video
In their ongoing attempts to assimilate and integrate the several hundred thousand recent middle-eastern refugees, both Germany and Austria have resorted to what some have dubbed childish measures, creating pamphlets and websites explaining what is permitted, either in public, by the swimming pool, or even what is proper and improper during sex (along with a basic sex education course).
5 Reasons This Country Is In For Big Trouble
By Chris at www.CapitalistExploits.at My little girl came into my office the other day and was looking over my shoulder. Suddenly she ran out of the room calling to her brother. “I know Dad’s password! I know Dad’s password!”, she yelled. “What is it?”, my son asked? “It’s 8 stars.” Sometimes we look at things believing with sincerity we know and understand what we’re seeing. But we’re really as dumb as a box of rocks. This brings me to our “trusted” friends at the rating agencies.

Get To College, Get A Job, Get Poorer: Students Are Worse Off After Attending For-Profit Colleges
Go to college, study hard, get a good paying job - that's the mantra heard by most students across America as they wind down their high school careers. Intuitively taking out loans just to go to college because everyone says so isn't a good idea, and a new study by the NBER finds that in fact, students who left for-profit schools during the 2006-2008 timeframe were worse off after attending. A key factor, as the WSJ reports, is that most of these students never earned a degree, they dropped out.
Alan Greenspan: "We're Running To A State Of Disaster"
Back in March, the former Fed chairman said that we're in trouble because "productivity is dead in the water, and real capital investment is way below average because business people are very uncertain about the future." Greenspan went on to add that entitlement programs are crowding out capital investment, and thus crowding out productivity." Alan Greenspan is back delivering more warnings about the state of the global economy, hammering home the same key points made back in March.
Futures Levitation Continues As Brent Rises Above $50 For First Time Since November
In what has been another quiet overnight session, which unlike the past two days has not seen steep, illiquid gaps higher in US equity futures (the E-mini was up 3 points and accelerating to the upside as of this writing so there is still ample time for the momentum algos to go berserk), the main event was the price of Brent rising above $50 for the first time since November with WTI rising as high as $49.97.
Hillary In Trouble: State Department Says Clinton Did Not Comply With Federal Record Policies
In a surprising reversal, what many thought was impossible, namely the State Department cracking down on its former head and Democratic presidential frontrunner, Hillary Clinton, seems all too possible following news that the State Department Insecptor General audit has faulted Hillary Clinton, other secretaries of state for poorly managing electronic communications.
Violent Protesters Storm Trump Rally In New Mexico; Throw Rocks, Bottles At Riot Police
A calm protest quickly turned violently chaotic at a Donald Trump rally yesterday in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Protesters started to gather around 4pm in what until then was a low key protest: they chanted anti-Trump slogans, held anti-Trump signs and waved Mexican flags before the demonstration descended into chaos with some protesters standing on top of police cars, at which point all hell broke loose.
Egypt’s Economy, More Trouble Ahead
Authored by Steve H. Hanke of the Johns Hopkins University. Follow him on Twitter @Steve_Hanke. Early last Thursday, EgyptAir 804 disappeared over the Mediterranean, becoming the second civilian airliner in less than seven months to go down while flying either to or from Egypt. Both this incident and Metrojet 9268’s disaster of last October were terrorist acts.
Goldman Sachs is using Chinese Wall as a Beard for Tesla Conflict of Interest (Video)
This isn`t the first time Goldman Sachs has tried to hide behind the notion of a "Chinese Wall" in a defense against an apparent conflict of interests. It is theoretically possible that this analyst operated in a complete vacuum at Goldman Sachs, but how likely is this fact given how interconnected Investment Banking activities are these days?

Do These Charts Reveal That The Next Chinese Yuan Devaluation Is Right Around The Corner?
After the Fed tried to cause some more confusion with its decision to hike the interest rates by saying that a rate hike in June still is a possibility, we wanted to have a closer look at China which once again posted weaker than expected numbers. We are very interested in all developments in China, as the country remains one of the largest net buyers of our favorite metal gold.
Erdogan Nears Absolute Power With Appointment Of Puppet Premier, Stripping MPs Of Immunity
When the news hit on May 5 that Turkey's Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu would unexpectedly stand down from his post as a result of sharply escalating fighting behind the scenes over president Tayyip Erdogan's relentless attempt to rule Turkey with virtually no checks and balances, the market was not happy, and the volatility of the Turkish Lira soared the most in the past decade.

Will Venezuela Be Forced To Embrace The Dollar?
Submitted by Daniel Fernandez Mendez via The Mises Institute, The country of Venezuela is dangerously approaching hyperinflation. At 2015’s year-end, official figures had yearly inflation at or above 180 percent (some private sector sources estimated it at 330 percent). The technical definition of hyperinflation is when inflation is at 50 percent or more per month, meaning that Venezuela is not yet at this point, but does seem to be approaching at an accelerated pace.
Texas Judge Orders "Intentionally Deceptive" DOJ Lawyers To Take Remedial Ethics Classes
In November 2014, The Obama administration announced a proposal to try and grant a proactive three-year stay of deportation and legal work permits to as many as 5 million illegal immigrants. As a result, the state of Texas led a large group of states suing the government, arguing the proposal violated both federal law and overstepped the president's constitutional powers - in which Judge Andrew S. Hanen agreed with.

China's Housing Bubble Is So Big, Goldman Will "Need A Bigger Chart"
One of the stated reasons for the Shanghai Composite's 1.3% drop (and it would have been worse had the PPT not launched its infamous last minute buying blitz) was also the most amusing one: the stock market bubble is in danger of popping even more as a result of a housing bubble that is now raging at a pace not seen since the last Chinese housing bubble, and thus threatens to soak up even more cash from China's chronic gamblers-cum-speculators.
The Real Challenge For America's Workers: Passing A Drug Test
Recently Ray Gaster, an owner of lumber yards on both sides of the Georgia-South Carolina border joined some friends at a retreat in Alabama to talk shop. The main topic of concern? Drugs tests, and the increasing inability of potential new hires to pass them. "They were complaining about trying to find drivers, or finding people, who are drug-free and can do some of the jobs that they have" Gaster said, as he echoed his friends' concerns.

Major Court Ruling Against Obamacare, "Insurers Will Scream"
Healthcare insurers are already taking it on the chin. Some insurers got out of the healthcare business entirely, others stopped coverage in multiple states due to mounting losses. What happened is healthy individuals, especially millennials decided to opt out of Obamacare. Those who opted in after having been denied coverage previously were high-cost individuals. Adding fat to the fire, a federal court ruled today that “cost sharing reductions” to insurers are unconstitutional payments.
London Property Bubble Bursts
The London property bubble shows renewed signs that it is beginning to burst. Property sellers in the UK have reduced their asking prices and London property prices have fallen by 7.8 per cent on average and as much as 30% in some areas according to City AM today. “People trying to sell their homes are increasingly having to mark down their original asking price – and the amount they are dropping it by is going up.
Large Truck Orders Continue To Plunge, Down 39% In April
Class 8, “heavy duty” truck orders are down 39% from a year ago. First, let’s take a look at the reports, then we will take a look at what this may mean for the economy. Last month, trucking fleets ordered just 13,500 Class 8 trucks, the big rigs used on long-haul routes, down 16% from March and 39% from a year earlier. It was the fewest net orders in any April since 2009, FTR said.

Is Craig Wright The Creator Of Bitcoin? Frisby and Matonis On ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’
Craig Wright, an Australian computer scientist, self-declared cyber security expert and entrepreneur, has claimed to be the creator of Bitcoin, the elusive ‘Satoshi Nakamoto’. Yesterday, he published a blog post offering what was claimed to be cryptographic proof, backed up by other information, to make his case. Along with the BBC and GQ, The Economist had access to Mr Wright before the publication of his post. The BBC are definitively saying that Wright is Nakamoto.
2008 Deja Vu? Treasury Warns Congress - Bailout Puerto Rico Or Risk "Chaotic Unwinds... Cascading Defaults"
In a disappointingly similar tone to the warnings, threats, and promises sent to Congress in 2008 when demanding the banks get their bailout (or else), Treasury Secretary Jack lew has released a letter he sent to Congress warning that if Puerto Rico's situation is not "fixed" in an "orderly" manner "quickly" then the nation will face "cascading defaults." “With no orderly restructuring framework to address its debts, Puerto Rico will face a series of cascading defaults,” while litigation...
Why China Is Really Dictating The Oil Supply Glut
Ship tracking data from Bloomberg shows that 83 supertankers carrying around 166 million barrels of oil are headed to China, which has stockpiled an impressive 787,000 barrels a day in the first quarter of 2016 - the highest stockpiling rate since 2014. While the world was speculating about oil prices plunging to $20 and $10 per barrel, China was busy stockpiling its reserves. The chart below shows an increase in imports as crude prices collapsed.
Was The Fed Just Given The Launch Codes?
Let me be clear right from the outset: this is not an article about politics when it comes to whose guy or gal is currently seated or running. This is about the current state of affairs as it pertains to business; how they seem to be in motion; and, how it may affect one’s business, or, business in general. As for the “who’s in,” or “who’s out” – that’s for others to debate.
Leaked Docs Reveal TTIP Trade Deal In Jeopardy As "Irreconcilable Differences" Emerge
Several weeks ago we learned that not all is well in the ongoing negotiations to impose Obama's landmark Transatlantic Free Trade Agreement, also known as the TTIP, when unexpectedly Europe threatened to impose visas on Americans and Canadians. As we commented at the time, this latest tension may have been driven "by the fact that the United States hasn’t yet lifted visa requirements for some EU member countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, and Poland.
A Few Facts About Gold That Nay-Sayers Conveniently Ignore
We continue to see articles by so called “experts” trashing Gold and Silver as investments. Gold is everything from a “Pet Rock” to a “Dumb Investment” or “Barbarous Relic.” Do these people even bother doing research? Or are they just stock shills? First and foremost, you cannot compare Gold’s performance relative to stocks anywhere before 1967. Because Gold was pegged to currencies up until that point.
Wall Street In Pain: 163 Hedge Funds Are Long AAPL Stock
