The Road to Glory
A look ahead to the spring football game and Red Autry is making big moves in the transfer portal. This week started off with more transfer portal news. Coach Autry and company picked up All-ACC guard Naithan George, pairing him with earlier pick up from Georgia Tech, Ibrahim Souare. On the Spring ball side, the Orange are gearing up for this week’s spring game.
Madness in March
With the transfer portal for basketball heating up, a QB1 battle for SU Football, and a Stephen A. Smith & Lebron James beef, March has been filled with madness. This week was a busy one for the Fresh Squeezed crew, and the episode shows it. With their longest episode yet, there was no shortage of topics to discuss. Starting with the transfer portal, SU basketball saw a few key players depart. After Donnie Freeman and JJ Starling decided to stay in Orange, the group discussed the future.

Sports Podcast losses and wins
Win and you’re in, lose and you’re out. The MBB team needs a win over NC State and WBB needs a win against Pitt. THE BOYS ARE BACK IN TOWN! This week the boys debated the possibility of a loss for the MBB team. Coming into the game NC State had just beaten Wake Forrest. But they also had not won a game on the road. This seemed to be about a fifty-fifty match for the Orange. Also back to back losses for both Men’s and Women’s lacrosse had Kobe in a whirlwind.
Fresh Squeezed
After losses to UNC and Maryland, SU MBB and MLAX seem to be in trouble. The boys are back! Things aren’t so hot in Syracuse right now. Literally or figuratively for that matter. UNC beat Syracuse men’s basketball team, in the dome during a snow storm and Maryland beat men’s lacrosse during a cold front in the DMV. Nonetheless the women’s team won in Maryland, but there’s been a whole lot more losing than winning happening around the Orange right now.
Fresh Squeezed Sports: Lacrosse looks great; MBB is at an all-time low
No surprises this week. Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse is good; basketball is not. The guys are back after a disappointing loss to the Duke Blue Devils, but both lacrosse teams look poised to win. The guys also react to interesting thoughts from Judah Mintz’s grandfather and discuss the safety of Red Autry’s job. Should he get another chance? Hear the guys’ predictions on this week’s podcast. Check back weekly for more Fresh Squeezed Sports.
Can the men's and women's basketball teams rebound?
With a loss to Boston College and a loss to Clemson can the basketball teams rebound? It seemed as though after the great win against Notre Dame the men’s team was on the right track; well they would go on to get blown out by Clemson the night of this recording. This also took place before the women’s team matched up against 20th ranked NC State and we had no clue how the team would fair after giving up the worst loss to BC in ACC play ever.
Fresh Squeezed: A New Year
With two basketball teams under .500, and a football team filled with transfers and NFL hopefuls, what is the state of SU athletics? The gang is back! After an eventful winter break filled with action Cedric, Ty and Kobe could not wait to talk all things SU athletics this week. Over the break both basketball teams dropped under .500, making it statistically very hard for them to make the tournament. Fran Brown and crew saw the loss of some star players via the portal and draft.

Kiyan Anthony's Commitment

Nonetheless, Ty and Kobe discussed what Kiyan’s commitment would mean for the school and the city. They also discussed this past weekend’s football game against Cal and the football team’s future. FULL DISCLAIMER: This episode contains a few curse words, as the conversation around attendance at the WBB games was passionate.

Fresh Squeezed Ep. 8
MBB only beat cross-town rival Le Moyne, 86-82. The group debates if the team should be worried after the close game. This week saw a lot of good action in terms of SU Sports. Though both teams opened their seasons, the men’s team sent waves through the media, only winning by four and even being down five, 41-36, at the half.
