Celeste Katz Marston became editor-in-chief of The Concord Bridge, a hyperlocal, non-profit, non-partisan print and digital weekly covering historic Concord, Massachusetts, in April 2025. She joined the staff in July 2023 as news editor. Since she became EIC, The Bridge has won 14 New England Newspaper & Press Association awards.

Celeste appears regularly as a U.S. correspondent for Australian Broadcasting Corporation radio.

In 2020, Celeste co-authored a public service e-book on the voting machine industry for the investigative news site WhoWhatWhy and began freelancing for Nieman Reports -- a journal of Harvard's Nieman Foundation for Journalism -- NBC Asian America and Cosmopolitan.

Her Nieman reporting was a finalist for a 2022 Mirror Award in the special category, "Best Story on Media Coverage of the Insurrection and the ‘Stop the Steal’ Movement."

Celeste is a former host and producer for WBAI-FM New York radio. She co-hosted of "Driving Forces," a politics and public policy program, and hosted and produced the interview series "New York in Crisis: WBAI's Coronavirus Diary." She also anchored special coverage of election nights, major political speeches, and Congressional hearings.

She was senior political reporter for Condé Nast's Glamour in 2018 and a guest host on Sirius XM radio.

Celeste worked at Newsweek from September, 2017 to February, 2018 as a New York-based senior political writer covering the White House, national affairs and voting rights. She and her editors were dismissed while investigating why law enforcement had raided the magazine's Manhattan headquarters. A head of the company stepped down and later pleaded guilty to fraud and money laundering.

Previously, Celeste worked as senior political correspondent for Mic, where she specialized in multimedia reporting and co-hosted “Special Relationship,” a successful podcast from Mic and The Economist which examined the 2016 U.S. presidential election from a global perspective and was ranked by Poynter Institute readers as among the best political journalism of the cycle.

Before her stint at Mic, Celeste was on staff for the New York Daily News for 15.5 years.

She contributed to coverage of four presidential elections, four gubernatorials and four mayorals as a political correspondent and columnist and ran the "Daily Politics" blog. Before focusing on politics, with assignments in the City Hall and State Capitol bureaus, she covered education and crime.

Celeste launched her career at The Providence Journal, where she covered government, law enforcement and Rhode Island's Navy and Coast Guard installations. On the lighter side, she wrote a pop culture column for the Journal's lifestyles section.

Celeste has provided political analysis in TV appearances on CNN, MSNBC, FOX, C-SPAN and CBS, as well as in radio interviews with NPR, Sirius XM, and the British and Australian Broadcasting Corporations and on a variety of local stations and podcasts.

She’s been a guest lecturer, panelist, contest judge and debate questioner for the Columbia, New York University, and CUNY Journalism Schools, NY1 News, and Politicon.

Her freelance reporting has appeared in outlets including the Boston Globe, Elle, Town & Country, the Forward, and the Daily Dot.

Born in the Bronx, Celeste holds an International Relations degree from Brown University, where she was executive editor -- and later an alumni trustee -- of The Brown Daily Herald, as well as president of Slavic House.
