MY STORY
I grew up in New York and moved to Europe to work as a model in the 1990s, the heyday of Playful Paris, London Grunge, and Milano Moda. I walked the runways side-by-side with the top models of the era and worked for prestigious brands such as Giorgio Armani, Valentino, Gucci, Loewe, Yves St. Laurent, Yoji Yamamoto, Krizia, and many more. I learned the importance of professionalism and developed an eye for detail and quality.
When I was 24, I was told that I was "too old" to be a model. I reinvented myself by attending art school in Milan and becoming a graphic designer for a local web design agency. As a mother-tongue English speaker, I was assigned translations and copywriting as well.
Notable projects included the U.K.gov newsletter for expats in Italy, the British Chamber of Commerce, Informer Magazine, and fashion brand Bottega Veneta's first e-commerce store. I was also the project manager of Italy's first online dating site.
I have been a professional writer, blogger and content creator for over 20 years. Today, I run my own online publications, write freelance, and create custom travel itineraries for Italy.
