Calibration and Performance of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter During the LHC Run 2
The Tile Calorimeter (TileCal) is the hadronic sampling calorimeter of ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). TileCal uses iron absorbers and scintillators as active material and it covers the central region |?| < 1.7. Jointly with the other calorimeters it is designed for measurements of hadrons, jets, tau-particles and missing transverse energy. It also assists in muon identification.
H->yy couplings and cross sections with the ATLAS detector
Properties of the Higgs boson are measured in the two-photon final state using 36.1 fb?1of proton–proton collision data recorded at 13 TeV by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider. The ATLAS and CMS mass measurement of 125.09±0.24 GeV is used and signals are extracted in a diphoton mass range of 105–160 GeV.
Search for resonant and enhanced non-resonant di-Higgs production in the yybb channel at 13 TeV with the ATLAS detector
This poster presents the run 2 search for di-Higgs production in the yybb channel. In the Standard Model, this process provides a lens on the Higgs self-coupling and it is enhanced, resonantly or non-resonantly, in many extensions to the SM. It is appealing thanks to a clean diphoton trigger, relatively small backgrounds, and excellent diphoton mass resolution.
ATLAS Tile Calorimeter performance with Run 1 data

Consolidation and upgrades of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter
This is a presentation of the status of the ATLAS Tile Calorimeter during the EYETS and before starting 2017 data-taking. Updates on the upgrade of the readout system such as doubling the RODs output links and the number of processing units (PUs) are being worked on at the moment as well as items concerning the maintenance of the detector which involves issues such as cooling leaks and consolidation of the Low Voltage Power Supplies, which are being replaced if necessary.
Photon and electron identification with the ATLAS detector
The identification of prompt photons and the rejection of background, originating mostly from photons from hadron decays, relies on the high granularity of the ATLAS calorimeter. The electron identification is based on a likelihood discriminant to separate isolated electron from background electron originating from photon conversions, hadron misidentification and heavy flavour decays. Additionally, isolation variables provide further handles to separate signal and background.
Photon and electron identification with the ATLAS detector
Photon and electron identifications are a crucial input to many ATLAS physics analysis. The identification of prompt photons and the rejection of background coming mostly from photons from hadron decays relies on the high granularity of the ATLAS calorimeter.
Single Photon studies in ATLAS with Run 2 dataset
We present a performance study of photon reconstruction within the Higgs working group of the ATLAS experiment. The analysis use a data sample of proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energy of $\sqrt{s} = 13~TeV$, recorded with the ATLAS detector at the LHC in 2015+2016, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 14.5 $fb^{-1}$ (at the moment).

The Tile Calorimeter of the ATLAS experiment at the LHC is the central hadronic calorimeter designed for energy reconstruction of hadrons, jets, tau-particles and missing transverse energy. The performance of the calorimeter has been studied employing cosmic ray muons and the large sample of proton-proton collisions acquired during the Run 1 of LHC (2010-2012). Results on the calorimeter performance on absolute energy scale, timing, noise and associated stabilities are presented.
