quite by accident... was on a six-month sabbatical after completing a pre-PhD thesis when I began freelancing

I did... although it was a magazine. I was on the board of editors...
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
... the one on elephant poaching & conservation in Africa. It isn't the best (it may not even be good!) but I designed the whole page
