What was your first job as a journalist?

As a student writer for my school paper. Waiting for my next one.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Once yes but not for serious writing I'm thankful for my computer.

How is social media changing news?

Case by case both good and bad for it.

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Clark Kent.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

Let others know whats going on around them.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Email is preferred.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Google Docs, Google Drive, Microsoft Word, In-design, and Photo Shop.

What's your favorite social network?

Facebook.

Why did you become a journalist?

I have an internal passion for writing.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

My school didn't have one, but I would have loved the opportunity.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

"Thanking those who paid the cost" A salute to our military.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Keep writing, and when you get stuck keep writing even if its just nonsense.

When's the best time to pitch you?

Mid morning, afternoon and night.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

A story to salute our Vets.

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Haven't gotten one yet.

What's your favorite drink?

In the past I would have said soda but now you cant beet the original ice water.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

In-front of my TV.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Time magazine.
