Interview

What does it mean to be a journalist?

To be a journalist means to be someone who reports on a story with balance, fairness, and must research to get the facts right.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer someone to pitch me a story by being able to summarize it with clarity in one or two sentences.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Unfortunately, I did not work for my high school newspaper. My interest in journalism developed some time after college.

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

I enjoy reading the New York Times, Associated Press, and Scientific American.
