I noticed your EMS poll online this morning. I would encourage you to add an option to the poll. In Texas there is a taxing entity that can be created to fund EMS and/or Fire. The taxing entity is known as an Emergency Service District, or ESD for short. Angelina County may already have an ESD for one or more volunteer fire departments in the area. This district by state law cannot levy a tax greater than 10 cents.
