House Decors - Designing social areas into Mediterranean-style living rooms

House Decors - In Western architecture, a living room is a room in a dwelling house or apartment to relax and socialize. The term living room was first introduced in the early 20th century. This room is also called the sitting room considering its function as a room for socializing by sitting in a chair. There are also those who call it the vestibule, given its location which is right near the front door. In large houses built in the past, a private living room is provided near the bedroom, such as the Queen's Sitting Room and the Lincoln Sitting Room in the White House.

House Decors - The arrangement of the living room is strongly influenced by the culture in each country. If the Western-style living room is furnished with sofas, chairs, coffee tables, table lamps and fireplaces, then the traditional Japanese living room is equipped with a kind of mat or mat called a tatami. In short, the arrangement of the living room reflects the character and taste of the homeowner of visual aesthetics. Therefore, it is natural that homeowners everywhere (including Indonesia) arrange their living room in various ways so as not to appear embarrassing in the eyes of guests who come to visit. In some countries, the living room also functions as a family room that is integrated with the dining room and kitchen. This kind of spatial planning is called an open plan interior, which is usually applied in homes with not broad dimensions. In this way communication between residents and communication between guests and other residents will be more open, given the absence of walls that limit each room.
