FAM96A functions as a novel pace controller for iron uptake to maintain iron homeostasis and erythropoiesis
Abstract Iron is indispensable for various biological processes, among which erythropoiesis is a privileged iron consumer to synthesize hemoglobin. FAM96A, also known as cytosolic iron-sulfur protein assembly 2 A (CIA2A), is a conserved protein involved in cytosolic iron-sulfur cluster assembly but also harboring a canonical signal peptide for secretion. Here, we unveil a previously unrecognized role of autocrine FAM96A in maintaining iron homeostasis and erythroid differentiation.
Electrochemical Biosensor Utilizing CRISPR/Cas12a Amplification for the Detection of E.coli
Electrochemical Biosensor Utilizing CRISPR/Cas12a Amplification for the Detection of E.coli Electrochemical biosensors are frequently employed to identify harmful microbes and disease indicators. However, their practical applicability is constrained by poor signal amplification efficiency and immobilization processes on the probe surface. To get over these restrictions, we here integrated roll-cycling amplification (RCA) and CRISPR/Cas12a gene editing tools with electrochemical biosensors.

Laponite Lights Calcium Flickers by Reprogramming Lysosomes to Steer Dc Migration for An Effective Antiviral CD8+ T‐Cell Response
1 Introduction Dendritic cells (DCs) are the most powerful specialized antigen-presenting cells, bridging innate and adaptive immunity to activate naïve T cells.[1] Successful ex vivo generation of DCs from their precursors has ushered in an era of adoptive DC vaccines.[2] Currently, immunization with functionally competent DCs is an important treatment strategy for eradicating chronic infections[1] and malignancies[4] by overcoming the disease-induced suppressive immune microenvironment and...
Formation of Amadori compounds in LIGAO (concentrated pear juice) processing and the effects of Fru-Asp on cough relief and lung moisturization in mice
Formation of Amadori compounds in LIGAO (concentrated pear juice) processing and the effects of Fru-Asp on cough relief and lung moisturization in mice† Chenyan Li, a Cheng Yang, a Jian Zhangb and Lianfu Zhang*ab Abstract LIGAO (concentrated pear juice) has been used for more than 1000 years to treat respiratory complaints such as cough and expectoration in China, but the study of the mechanism of its antitussive effects and ability to moisten the lungs is limited.
