Commonality and variability in functional networks in children under 5 years old
Abstract Functional brain networks support human cognition, yet how individualized network architecture emerges in early childhood remains poorly understood. Averaging across participants can obscure age-specific organization and person-to-person differences, particularly in slowly developing association cortices.

Decreased cold‐inducible RNA‐binding protein (CIRP) binding to GluRl on neuronal membranes mediates memory impairment resulting from prolonged hypobaric hypoxia exposure
1 INTRODUCTION Exposure to high altitudes (HAs) significantly impacts human physiology, particularly affecting cerebral oxygenation and, consequently, brain function.1-3 This phenomenon, primarily attributed to hypobaric hypoxia (HH), manifests as a reduction in cerebral tissue oxygenation, correlating directly with impaired cognitive abilities.1, 4 The severity of these impairments is closely linked to both the altitude and the duration of exposure.4 As individuals ascend to higher...

Targeted lipidomics reveals associations between serum sphingolipids and insulin sensitivity measured by the hyperinsulinemic-euglycemic clamp
Highlights • Differential correlation network analysis illustrated correlations amongst serum lipids, insulin sensitivity, and insulin secretion. Total and subspecies of sphingomyelins (SMs) and Gb3s were positively related to glucose infusion rate (GIR 30), free fatty acid FFAs (FFA16:1, FFA20:4), some long-chain GM3 and complex ceramide GluCers showed strong negative correlations with GIR30. • Most subspecies of serum FFAs were related to decreased insulin secretion.
