Chatting with author Lis Angus
I'm delighted to have Lis Angus with me today. I love how NaNoWriMo and the question "What if" helped start her fiction writing journey. Please help me welcome Lis! Can you tell us something about your writing? I’ve been writing since I was a child. I always dreamed of writing a novel, but I hadn’t written any fiction since I was a teenager. As an adult, my writing was primarily business-related. Later I took some fiction writing courses, but I hadn’t really worked at it.

Friends to the End Inspiration and Excerpts
I'm still celebrating the release of FRIENDS TO THE END. Today, I'm sharing a few new excerpts and the inspiration behind my brave protagonist. The idea for the characters in this book came first. At the time, my sons had lost a few of their friends to various tragedies. Then there were nightly news stories about the senseless shootings of innocent people, some of the victims being children.
Chatting with Randy Overbeck, best selling author
All Darrell Henshaw wanted was to enjoy his honeymoon with his beautiful wife, Erin, in the charming town of Crystal River on the sunny Gulf Coast of Florida. Only a pair of ghosts decide to intrude on their celebration. And not just any ghosts, the spirits of two young Latino children. Unwilling at first to derail the honeymoon for yet another ghost hunt, Darrell finally concedes when a painting of the kids comes alive, weeping and pleading for his help.
A Quick Chat with Kimberly Baer, author of Mall Girl Meets the Shadow Vandal
Ida B, by Katherine Hannigan. This is a middle-grade novel about an irrepressible fourth-grader whose family must deal with difficult circumstances. I read the book more than a decade ago (as an adult, not a kid), but I still remember how that little girl leapt off the pages and entered my life. She became as real to me as the flesh-and-blood kids I knew. Kudos to Ms. Hannigan for creating such a memorable character—and a sweet, funny, uplifting story.

Hi, and thanks for stopping by! March is my birthday month... yep, I'm celebrating all month! And I thought it would be fun if I did the giving. But first, let me share a fun fact about myself and my family. I’m not much of a cake person, and interestingly enough neither is my husband, and our boys stopped eating cake when they got older. But we each have a favorite treat. For me, it’s banana cream pie. When forced to, I'll even share.
