Where is the line drawn regarding influencing co-defendants by paying for their lawyer ?
Tue Aug 22, 2023, 10:07 PM Are not lawyers required to look out for the best interests of the person they represent ? If Trump is bankrolling the lawyers for the majority of his co-conspirators who have no means (like his employees) is not that a potential bribe? If it can be proven that the lawyer was looking out for Trump's interests instead of the client, can they be sanctioned?

Looks like SCOTUS will strike down Biden's student loan forgiveness
I understand that this is a purely ideological decision, but you would think they'd at least TRY to make it sound like it's couched in Constitutional theory. So what in the Constitution prevents the government from doling out forgiveness on ITS OWN loans? I'm dying to hear this. I studied the Constitution for 3 years in law school and had to pass the bar exam. I like to think I know a little bit about what's in the Constitution, and I can't even come up with a COLORABLE argument for this.
