The Day I Fell in Love with My Voice
When I first started podcasting, I hated the sound of my own voice. For the first five episodes, I couldn’t even stand to listen back. Every playback made me cringe. So I adopted a simple routine: record, upload, and move on. No replays. No self-checks. But one day, something shifted. I decided to take my time with an episode, to project my voice differently, to master myself in front of the mic. That day changed everything. I realized something: my voice will never be perfect. And that’s okay.
If I Don’t Create, I Fade
Creating is what keeps my soul alive. When I create something unique, something spectacular that I know I poured my heart into, I feel fulfilled. I feel like I’ve done my part for the world. I feel like I’m adding my drop of good into the ocean of humanity. But when I don’t create? I feel miserable. I feel far behind. I watch others putting their work out into the world, and a small part of me envies them, not because they’re better, but because they’re doing what I should be doing.
What If I Had Given Up on My Voice?
I remember the early days, how I used to fear the sound of my own voice. Recording a podcast was one thing, but playing it back? That was a different kind of fear. I would cringe, hesitate, and sometimes avoid listening at all. I didn’t think I was good enough. My voice didn’t sound like the ones I used to hear on those late-night radio shows that made me fall in love with sound in the first place.
"Joanna’s Story, and the Listener Who Saved Mine”
I used to say I didn’t care who was listening, that I was just doing the podcast for myself. But that changed after one story. I had already dropped over seven episodes of my podcast, Midnight Podcast with Chris Duke, and I still hadn't received any direct feedback. No likes. No comments. Just silence. Then I created an episode titled “Single Mother”. It was a fictional story called Joanna Victor’s Journey into Single Motherhood. I poured everything into that script. I took my time.
Transparency & Proactive Solutions: The Power of Data and Technology
People are the foundation of a successful healthcare strategy. It is vital that we empower our employees, teams, and partners to deliver high-quality care and results through data and technology. By integrating technology and analytics, we enable our staff to focus more on what truly matters—patient care—rather than on time-consuming data retrieval and process-heavy tasks. This strategic approach streamlines workflows and enhances job satisfaction and retention by reducing burnout.
How to use a remote control with the HOVERAir X1
This is your complete how-to guide for using a remote control with the HOVERAir X1 selfie drone. It will be updated over time with the latest information. Let’s fly right into how to make your X1 flying camera work like a normal drone. While the X1 is billed as an autonomous flying selfie camera, there’s also a mode which allows you to fly the X1 manually using the app itself. It works great, however controlling any drone via a touch screen is not ideal.
WD-40 in Tide pen form. Who knew?
I just found out that there’s WD-40 in pen form. After living with (and probably misusing at times) WD-40 for all my life, I had no idea such a thing existed. Madness! Where was this thing when I needed a little bit of WD-40 but only had the spray can which sprayed it all over the damn place, including my fingers? Created to deliver WD-40 with “pinpoint precision”, it’s great for when you’ve got some rusty bolts or something’s stuck.

I Had Male Post-Natal Depression
Post-natal depression is, naturally, typically associated with a tangled concoction of numbness, fear and anxiety that often crops up in new mothers. Yet, according to the NHS, mental health issues around a birth affect in 10 new fathers. So. What is it like to experience something that is so rarely voiced? In the June issue of Women's Health, children's author Chris Duke wrote about his experiences with post-natal depression, after his daughter was born.
Lost Soul or New Dawn? Lifelong Learning Lessons and Prospects from East Asia
Most learning takes place in communities, neighbourhoods and workplaces. Here practical solutions to big problems work or fall down. We may call this the iron law of social learning, recognised in ‘community development’, ‘community capacity-building’, ‘workplace’, ‘work-based’ and ‘work-integrated’ learning. Language is problematic, the gap between words and deeds often large. Will social learning allow richer ‘third generation lifelong learning’ in Asia?

The final option in this category is the oldest player in the set. The Apple TV has been around since 2007, and it was very limited then, but now it has grown to be a very solid player. Apple has integrated this device with all of its iPhones, and other devices very well, allowing you to use AirPlay function to play games you have on your iOS devices on your TV. The best thing is that Apple lovers can get a lot out of the player in using iTunes and photo apps to show them on the big screen.
