Why did you become a journalist?
I'm a curious person, passionate about a variety of topics—I've always loved writing and photography, and now I get to do it every day.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
We didn't have one, but I worked for my (independent) college newspaper as a senior photographer and editor of the science section.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
So far my investigation with WBEZ into Chicago's red 'x' program for marking dangerous, vacant structures.

Get into it!
