Chris Branco is a Massachusetts native whose life reflects over twenty years of work in public service, business, and creative pursuits. His career path has included roles as a police officer, firefighter, and EMT. At the same time, he has also developed his own music, writing and recording original songs that he shares through online platforms.
Chris was born in Fall River, Massachusetts, and began his education in the local community before attending the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. His academic experiences there provided the foundation for preparing for careers in emergency response, policing, and later entrepreneurship. In 1992, he earned his first primary certification in emergency medical services, and by the age of 23, he was certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. This milestone marked the beginning of a long-term commitment to emergency response, requiring a steady focus and the ability to handle urgent situations with care.
For two decades, Chris worked as an EMT, responding to a wide range of calls from routine medical issues to more complex emergencies. The role required consistent training, quick decisions, and calm leadership. During this time, he also achieved Firefighter Level I and II certifications, which allowed him to support public safety in additional ways. His work placed him at the forefront of fires, accidents, and public health challenges, where he balanced endurance with a responsibility for the safety of others.
In 1999, Branco entered law enforcement as a reserve police officer, and in 2003, he became a full-time officer. His earlier service as an EMT and firefighter provided him with skills that carried over into his policing career. Over nearly a decade, he sought further training to expand his contributions. He served as a Field Training Officer, guiding recruits in tactical work and professional conduct. He later gained certification as a Crime Scene Investigator and Hostage Negotiator, focusing on forensic detail and effective communication during critical incidents.
Additional training with the Taser X26 and certifications in LEAPS/CJIS systems further supported his responsibilities. Chris also worked closely with the community, establishing the Citizensโ Police Academy in Little Compton, which provided residents a chance to learn about police work directly.
In 2012, he transitioned into private enterprise and launched Branco Landscaping, a business that has grown steadily by offering property improvement services across Massachusetts and nearby areas. Alongside running the company, he has continued to create music, producing songs that reflect his perspective and experiences.
Today, Chris Branco is recognized for a life that brings together service, leadership, entrepreneurship, and creativity, each part showing his ability to dedicate himself entirely to his work and his community.
