I love my community and wanted to take part in documenting it.

No, I did not.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I am most proud of the work I did covering the Redwood Complex Fires of 2017 and the Mendocino Complex fires of 2018.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
You should try everything once and that it's not the end of the world if it doesn't work out.
