Wanted: Storytellers for History Jam on the Hill

The Chestnut Hill Conservancy is looking for 10 people to answer that question as part of the 2026 Night of Lights: 10x10 History Jam, a new storytelling program on Thursday, Oct. 15, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Venetian Club, 8030 Germantown Avenue. Doors open at 6 p.m. Applications are now open for speakers, and the Conservancy wants to hear from a range of people from across Northwest Philadelphia.
A new light will be shining brightly on Night of Lights
For four nights only, Night of Lights will illuminate Germantown Avenue with projected videos, architectural and landscape lighting, and stories drawn from more than 250 years of local history. But if you can make it for only one night, make it Friday, Oct. 2.

With the arrival of National Trails Day on June 1, it is fitting to reflect on the rich history of the Wissahickon Valley's trails.
