REVIEW: The Do-Over by Bethany Turner
The Do-Over by Bethany Turner: When McKenna is summoned to the boardroom at Wallis, Monroe and Burkhead she pretty much expects to be named senior partner, however the very last thing that she could have expected was to be told that not only is she not going to be named the new senior partner but she is now under investigation for embezzlement! REVIEW: Forgiving Paris by Karen Kingsbury
In Forgiving Paris by Karen Kingsbury, When Ashley Baxter Blake was asked if she would like to have her paintings featured in her very own gallery showing in Paris, she knew it was the opportunity of a lifetime. Not only would she be proving to herself that she’s made it as an artist, but it would be a way to put her nearly tragic first taste of Paris to rest, for good. Ashley’s trip there as a young woman drastically changed her life. Unbeknownst to her, it also changed the lives of others.
REVIEW: Stand by Me by Pat Simmons
Stand by Me by Pat Simmons: A beautiful and poignant story about falling in love while keeping the Christian Faith. Kym and Chaz first meet, and sparks fly immediately. Both are deeply involved with their faith, and therefore keep some distance between each other. Chaz is at a different part in his life (already having experienced marriage and kids, and now onto the grandparents stage) whereas Kym is looking for Mr. Right. She has prayed for years about the One, and she thinks she found it in Chaz.
REVIEW: Never Saw You Coming by Erin Hahn
Never Saw You Coming by Erin Hahn: If being on the verge 0f adulthood wasn’t scary enough, imagine finding out that your entire childhood has been a lie? So to say that Meg Hennessey is feeling lost and completely of kilter is a complete understatement. With this new knowledge from her mother Meg decides to take a gap year and head North to reconnect with the family she didn’t even know she had.
REVIEW: Is It Any Wonder by Courtney Walsh
Is It Any Wonder by Courtney Walsh is the second book in the Nantucket Love Story series, but reading it as a stand-alone was no problem. This was a new-to-me author and I was astonished by how emotional and beautifully written it was. Lately, second chance romance has seemed boring to me with a repetitive theme, but this story was unique and memorable. It was a heart-wrenching story of childhood friends, tragedy, broken friendships, community support, and forgiveness.
