What does it mean to be a journalist?
It means telling fair, accurate stories about a community with a sense of care for your readers and the people you're writing about.
Why did you become a journalist?
Because it's more important than ever to deliver the truth to the public and elevate the voices of those who aren't heard.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
I worked on a story for The Gavel about an ICE car coming to my university's campus. We were the first publication to break that story.
What's your favorite drink?
Iced latte with oat milk (which I'm drinking right now).
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
At a record store trying to find The Stone Roses' self-titled album.
