Dr. Christina Propst was born in New York City and raised bilingual in German and English. She graduated Cum Laude from Horace Mann School, where she excelled in academics, athletics, and music. She went on to Princeton University, majoring in Politics and graduating Cum Laude in 1991. Afterward, she taught English in Japan for two years through the Princeton-in-Asia program before attending Tulane University School of Medicine. She graduated in 1998 in the top 5% of her class and subsequently completed her residency at Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. Her academic honors include induction into Alpha Omega Alpha, the Herbert B. Rothschild, M.D. Award, and the Janet M. Glasgow Memorial Achievement Citation.
She has been active beyond her clinical work, offering medical support after Hurricanes Katrina and Harvey, engaging in advocacy, and helping educate the public during the COVID-19 pandemic. Together with her family, she has supported charitable organizations that focus on health, children, and community needs.
She has balanced her professional life with raising her children and celebrating over 30 years of marriage. She enjoys gardening, traveling, sailing, and participating in outdoor activities, as well as spending time with family and friends. Service to her patients and community remains central to her life.
