I'm a member of [Bloomberg View] (www.bloombergview.com)'s editorial board, where I write about health-care policy, energy and environment, higher education, taxes and other topics. I was previously a senior policy analyst for [Bloomberg Government] (www.bgov.com); before that, I worked for [ProPublica] (http://www.propublica.org/site/author/Christopher_Flavelle), [Slate] (http://www.slate.com/authors.christopher__flavelle.html) and [The Walrus] (http://thewalrus.ca/) magazine, and was chief speechwriter for Stéphane Dion when he was leader of the Liberal Party of Canada. I'm originally from Toronto.
