Missing from any index I can find with all of my finely-tuned Google-Fu is a list of QSound-encoded stereo recordings. The best cleaning cloths are Dupont Sontara Aerospace grade wipes. Absolutely lint-free, smooth, soft and durable. Once used for cleaning your screen, they can be reused for another purpose. Pre-cleaning the screen to remove dust and lint can be done with a Swiffer duster prepared as illustrated below: Lay out the Swiffer pad with the slots for the handle facing down. The (first) great Chromecast/Chromecast Audio crash of 2025
#1 · The Internet's on fire with reports of 2gen Chromecasts not working ("can't connect" "untrusted device"). It's apparently due to a certificate that expired on or about March 9. 🤦‍♂️ I'm able to cast to my 3gen Chromecast. Anecdotally reported that this issue only effects the 2gen Chromecast (CC) and Chromecast Audio (CCA). “Do Not Factory Reset!” Yeah, a lot of folks are warning that. But Chromecast Help docs direct you to do just that if there's a problem.

Anyone got the firmware for yamaha rx-v571? Not available on the internet. I got a defective RX-V571. Could be due to a failed update, but the only function I can invoke is "USB UPDATE". Normal power on, Diagnostic mode or Protection Cancel mode don't work.

Yale Smart Lock
Good advice. I have Schlage BE365 and FE595 entry locks on my home. I prefer the hard touch buttons of each. Also that I could have them all rekeyed to the same key used for a double-cylinder deadbolt on another entry door. So one key, three entry doors. You should still carry a hard key as a backup, or an alternate entry way (e.g. I use MyQ remote opener on my garage door now), as a battery died without any of the usual warning signals on the BE365 while I was out jogging.
Can anyone explain exactly what Blur Reduction and Judder Reduction on Samsung TVs do?
I know they are both motion interpolation features, but I would love a precise explanation of what each feature does and what changes when setting them between 0-10. Everything I've read online is just very vague. How does Blue Reduction set to 5 differ from Judder Reduction set to 5? How does Blue Reduction set to 4 differ from Blur Reduction set to 6? What is actually changing in how the TV does image processing by adjusting these settings? Does anyone know?
When can we expect larger Oleds (bigger than 83) that are affordable.
#1 · When does everyone think that the bigger Oleds will be affordable, weather it is 88" or 97", for me that means $7000 or less. Lcd has some options but its still Lcd. Sort by #2 · Bigger sizes mean more chances of a defect when making the panel. 97" panels use half an 8.5G sheet, so they can make two TVs from a single panel, versus making 3 65" and 6 32" from the same sheet, but with more flexibility if one of them has a defect.
Is $1850 a good deal for an open box 77” LG-C3?
#1 · i have a 65” Sony OLED (2019 model) but have always wanted to go bigger. Today when I happened drive by my local Best Buy I saw a sign that said the store is closing at the end of month. So they are clearing out everything in the store. I asked the manager if they had any good deals on a 77 OLED and he offered me this deal on a LG C3 that’s been in use at their store for 2 months. $1850 and free home delivery. I can’t verify the age except take his word for it.

Meanmachine, I'm seeing a trend with some of your thread topics: Very VERY underwhelmed ..... How many watts per channel? Is it a Lie? If you bought a 4k TV you've been robbed ...bamboozled A lot of negativity....which if you are not getting the sound or image you want from the equipment? Then it's the limits of the equipment you purchased, user error, room acoustic/image issues, improper calibration or no calibration at all, incorrect settings or expectations don't align with reality?
LG G3 vs LG C4
Hello all, With the new Lg OLEDS arriving I am finally ready to make the leap from my 2018 Samsung 65" Q8FN. I am planning to increase the size (YAY!) to 77 inch but am now faced with the choice of which one to get. The G4 is the no price limit winner hands down and I am not disputing that. But with these 2 being similar in cost, which one? C4 vs G3 MLA vs WOLED, Newer chip (C4 Alpha 9 AI chip ) vs older chip (G3 Alpha9 AI Processor Gen6) or are these the same chips?

#2 · A few years ago I started getting annoyed at having cracked or broken cases for my collection, so I started buying $1 blu-rays at the $-Tree. I could swap the cases & then sell it to a local pawnshop for the same amount in the less-than-desirable case, obviously keeping the good case. That's how far back, when $-Tree really was $1 &, not $1.25 like it is now. Then I started just grabbing any blu-ray with an unusual case to sort of jazz up my collection.
LG G3 wall mount bracket - 24" studs
#1 · Am I correct that the OEM bracket will only span 16" studs? If so, was there a reason for LG not to make the bracket wider? I won't mount a 77" set on only one stud, and if I have to buy a thicker third-party bracket, I'll defeat the purpose of the G3 design. Does anyone manufacture a metal extender that can be bolted to the back of the OEM bracket? Sort by #2 · If you want it done right I'd attach a 2x4 between the studs. Can make it look as pretty or not as you want.

Thanks for the warning @hawkeye_a but you haven't mentioned how many hours are on your TV. 🤷♂️ The fact you're watching Quantum TV doesn't speak well ... some consider him less, much less, than a reliable source of info. AFAIK Sony ... some models ... use QD-OLED panels by Samsung. You can check in those model topics for help from owners.

#1 · I just heard about this today. Prime Video to Add Commercial Breaks, Offer Ad-Free Tier at Additional Charge Commercials are coming to Prime Video. Amazon’s streaming service will begin including ad breaks in movies and TV shows in early 2024, Variety reports. The change will first take effect in the U.S., the UK, Germany and Canada, followed by France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and Australia later in the year.

I doubt it. Since the Gallery Series is designed and intended for wall-mounting, I can't foresee them NOT including the proprietary wall mount. Including both parts (stand and wall mount), one of which every user will not use, is wasteful IMHO. This cost would likely be passed on to the buyer, which is less than ideal. Offering the stands as an option for those who want it makes sense ... particularly if the SC9S will mount and act as a stand as LG promises it will for C2s and C3s.
LG 2023 model OLED Deals (G3|C3|B3|etc.)
That's the size I want...but the B2 is currently $500 cheaper. Would replace my main HDTV...an over-a-decade-old 50" Panasonic plasma. But that plasma has only a "S" panel, not the higher-end "ST" panel. I'm not using a sound bar or external speakers. In the basement so brightness isn't a concern. Do those here approve my inclination to be a cheapskate? check my posts in the LG OLED 22 deals thread…I have a 60” panny plasma And love it. Realized myself as well I got mine in 2011-12.

It depends upon your viewpoint. IMHO the well managed "owners" threads have useful information in the first post: FAQs, links, update details, specs. Take a look at the Apple TV Owners' Thread , it's a superb example. Y'know that movie line, "if you build it, they will come?" Trust me, the G3 and C3 owners will show up, as will prospective buyers looking for info and new owner perspective, just as in the 2022 LG C2-G2 Owner's Thread (also started when 2022 models were announced).

Yamaha RX-A770 - help a newbie I've finally upgraded beyond just a soundbar and am completely new to using a receiver. Other than confirming I have everything plugged in properly & that everything works, I'm pretty clueless as to whether or not I'm selecting the right settings. My screen isn't 4K/UHD and my speakers are only 3.0 for now, but I'd like to know if something should be adjusted to maximize A/V quality. YPAO was done after everything was set in place, but beyond that I've just set Sur.
