Founder of CreateAMixer (https://createamixer.com/), the world's only video chat site with a flagging system. Video chats consist of mixers with groups of people who are interested in the same topic. Mixers are searchable by topic or by location. If people favorite each other, they can enjoy unlimited private video chats and messaging with each other. Guests can also post mini blogs and photos, which are viewable to both registered and non registered guests. If a guest gets three flags, they lose their membership. The site is currently in Beta, and is free. When the site is out of Beta there will be a small fee for attending mixers. Private video chats, photo sharing, and messaging will continue to be free.
Before starting my own site I was a senior software engineer for eBay and PayPal for eight years, most recently as lead developer for core components on PayPal's web infrastructure team. I've written several web development books, including one of the first books to explore the concept of the browser as an application platform, Internet Explorer 5 Developer's Guide, back during Browser Wars I. I also wrote one of the first detailed technical articles about the promise of advanced CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) back in 1997. I'm still interested in leading edge internet technologies. Today, my passion is webRTC, the emerging video standard that helps drive our web site, along with other modern web development and infrastructure technologies. Prior to eBay and PayPal, I worked in the advertising and graphic design fields as a creative director.
