Abstract Introduction: Non-toxigenic non-O1/non-O139 Vibrio cholerae (NOVC) are opportunistic aquatic pathogens that cause extraintestinal infections including bacteremia, particularly in patients with underlying comorbidities. The incidence of NOVC bacteremia has increased in coastal China, yet the genomic diversity and population structure of clinical NOVC isolates remain poorly defined.
Abstract Background: Strongyloides hyperinfection syndrome (SHS) is a life-threatening condition in immunocompromised hosts with an extremely high mortality rate. Metagenomic next-generation sequencing (mNGS) demonstrates limited sensitivity for parasitic detection, and its clinical value remains to be fully elucidated. The conventional microscopy remains an indispensable tool for the diagnosis of parasitic infections.
