Effect of air and CO 2 micro/nano bubbles on the fresh and hardened properties of cement paste
Abstract Micro/nano bubble water (MNBW) can introduce additional gas-liquid interfaces and modify early-age cement hydration. The effect of air- and CO2-containing MNBW on fresh and hardened cement paste were characterized by rheometry, compressive strength, nitrogen adsorption and mercury intrusion porosimetry (MIP), X-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) in this work.
Obesity impairs spermatogenesis via Leydig cell ferroptosis induced by liver-derived exosomal miR-122-5p - Communications Biology
Abstract Obesity increases the risk of male infertility, primarily attributable to reduced testosterone levels. Exosomes, which facilitate intercellular communication during reproduction, may influence this process. However, the relation between exosomal cargo changes and high-fat diet (HFD)-induced testosterone decrease remains unclear. Here, we show that exosomes influence testosterone synthesis and spermatogenesis in HFD mice.

Reply to: NO2 satellite retrievals biased by absorption in water - Nature Geoscience
replying to: L. D. Labzovskii et al. Nature Geoscience https://doi.org/10.1038/s41561-024-01545-8 (2024) Our recent research1 found high emissions of nitrogen oxides (NOx = NO + NO2), mainly in the form of NO, from microbial sources in 135 large lakes on the Tibetan Plateau (TP), away from direct human influences.

High natural nitric oxide emissions from lakes on Tibetan Plateau under rapid warming - Nature Geoscience
Abstract Nitrogen oxides affect health and climate. Their emissions, in the form of nitric oxide, from inland waters such as lakes are generally considered negligible and are absent in air quality and climate models. Here we find unexpected high emissions of nitric oxide from remote lakes on the Tibetan Plateau, based on satellite observations of tropospheric nitrogen dioxide vertical column densities and subsequent emission inversion at a fine resolution of 5 km.
Physiological and pathological implications of retinoid action in the endometrium
Retinol (vitamin A) and its derivatives, collectively known as retinoids, are required for maintaining vision, immunity, barrier function, reproduction, embryogenesis and cell proliferation and differentiation.
