What was your first job as a journalist?
It was as a fact-checker for Organic Spa Magazine in Rocky River, Ohio, my hometown!
Have you ever used a typewriter?
I have a 1950s Underwood Portable Two-Toned Typewriter that I love very much. But wow what a finger workout.
What's your favorite social network?
Tumblr! I was a teen during its renaissance and there's such comfort there for me. It feels like the last bastion of the old internet vibes.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
I wrote for the paper and my favorite was the point/counter point features. I love a raging opinion piece!
When's the best time to pitch you?
I'm not picky about pitching times, so long as you're clear about timelines and/or urgency of a pitch!
