Columnist at Impact Entrepreneur.

How is social media changing news?

It has become a showcase for public self-actualization. The idea of "reporting," has been nearly eliminated and mediation of facts is gone.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

to be an observer

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

Dixon Ticonderoga pencils and yellow pads. Laptop. Word.

Having a glass of wine at my local

Why did you become a journalist?

I became a published writer to try to extend the reach of the nonprofit I founded and later, the foundation I ran.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

I was the features editor.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Mid morning, mid week
