Why did you become a journalist?
Sound corny but it's for real (1) to create original knowledge and (2) disseminate knowledge to others in concise, clear and engaging formats
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, it was a private cabal at my school that did the newspaper - I wasn't one of the cool kids
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
Don't be afraid to ask "please explain" - but be sure to do it in a normal voice

After Ive had at least one strong coffee (anytime)

Battling weeds in my garden - they are currently winning

Any novel that challenges or changes my attitudes or perspective on a subject

That many advertised claims regarding health apps are believable without evidence - I shudder hearing the phrase "there is an app for that
