Universal anyon tunnelling in a chiral Luttinger liquid - Nature Physics
Abstract The edge modes of fractional quantum Hall liquids are described by chiral Luttinger liquid theory. Despite many years of experimental investigation, fractional quantum Hall edge modes are not fully understood, and clear discrepancies between experimental observations and detailed predictions of chiral Luttinger liquid theory remain. Here we report the measurements of tunnelling conductance between counterpropagating edge modes at a filling factor of 1/3 across a quantum point contact.
Towards general-purpose program obfuscation via local mixing
Paper 2024/006 , Boston University , Boston University , University of Central Florida , Boston University We explore the possibility of obtaining general-purpose obfuscation for all circuits by way of making only simple, local, functionality preserving random perturbations in the circuit structure. Towards this goal, we use the additional structure provided by reversible circuits, but no additional algebraic structure.
Logical Majorana zero modes in a nanowire network
Abstract We present a scheme to use physical Majorana quasizero modes at each junction of a two-dimensional nanowire network to build a logical Majorana zero mode, the location of which is controllable through gate voltages. The wire network is a way to realize a recent proposal to imprint a Kekulé vortex pattern on a honeycomb lattice via gate voltages.
Non-Abelian Braiding of Light
Many topological phenomena first proposed and observed in the context of electrons in solids have recently found counterparts in photonic and acoustic systems. In this work, we demonstrate that non-Abelian Berry phases can arise when coherent states of light are injected into “topological guided modes” in specially fabricated photonic waveguide arrays. These modes are photonic analogues of topological zero modes in electronic systems.
