I understand casual fans not being as interested but even hardcore boxing fans don't seem to be interested in kickboxing why is this? These days a kickboxing match is three to five rounds and is actually an easier watch than boxing I believe, the lesser rounds also means that kickboxers don't usually stall or coast and go for it throughout the whole fight.

We can still find some exceptions: - Nino Benvenuti, WBC and WBA super welter and middleweight champion between 1965 and 1970 is still around at 83 years old. Apart from Tom Bethea, who is younger than him, all of his great opponents are long dead.
