What was your first job as a journalist?

I was a technology journalist for Machine Design magazine.

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Back when I was younger, and I mean like 5 or 6 years old, I played around with one, but I've never used one for work.

How is social media changing news?

Social media has placed large importance on breaking news and being first to report the news. Twitter is the first go-to source for many.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

When conducting an interview, silence is sometimes your greatest tool to get more out of a question.
