Yes

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

Via email.

What tools and software do you use to do your job?

I use Google Docs, Canva, and Grammarly to write, pitch, plan, and pretend I have my life together.

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

No, but I did for my middle school newspaper, and I was editor.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

Definitely MOM AF.

What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?

Be curious, be clear, and be human. Ask the uncomfortable questions, but tell stories people can trust.

What's the best pitch you ever got?

Someone once pitched me with the subject line: “This email is shorter than your attention span.”

What's the worst pitch you ever got?

Ones where my name is misspelled. Always.

What's your favorite drink?

Diet Coke

Aside from your own, what's your favorite publication to read?

Anything by my favorite author, my daughter.

What's the most common misperception about your beat?

I do not cover parenting styles or children's products.
