Have you ever used a typewriter?
When I was a young teenager attending classes at a homeschool co-op, the writing classroom had an old typewriter that I loved to use.
How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?
Via email, with a few sentences or paragraphs about the article topic.
What tools and software do you use to do your job?
Google Docs is my go-to writing software—I like being able to edit and access documents on my phone.
What's your favorite social network?
I like Twitter and Tumblr for different reasons.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, but I worked for my college newspaper as a reporter! I mainly wrote about campus life plus media reviews.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
It's a tie between "Murderbot: An Autistic-Coded Robot Done Right" and "Why the Podcasting Community Sucks".
When's the best time to pitch you?
Early morning-afternoon, but I'm not picky.
When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?
Walking my dog, spending time with my spouse, drawing, or reading.
