Growing up in Ireland surrounded by books and soaking up the rich literary culture of the Emerald Isle was my first introduction to the writing world. Several years later, I found myself in New York City eager to start a new life and a new career.
After graduating from college with a degree in journalism and with a curiosity for how things work and how people think, I threw myself into the world of community journalism.
After my daughter was born in 1995, I switched gears to accommodate my changing lifestyle. I delved into the world of school communications, working with local school districts and using a variety of marketing and public relations tools to help promote both student and teacher-driven initiatives.
In 2007, I established my own freelance business, Connolly Communications, providing small to medium-sized businesses as well as entrepreneurs and non-profits with a menu of copywriting, marketing and public relations services. I also serve as a freelance writer for a number of local newspapers and magazines.
I continue to rely on the tried and trusted journalism skills and unique storytelling techniques I acquired during my early days of reporting, providing high quality results for editors on time, every time.
