Which type of TV lasts the longest? With 100 TVs from various brands each tested 18,000 hours over 3 years, Rtings' accelerated longevity test has reached conclusions that may surprise some buyers. At 18,000 hours of accelerated runtime, the test far exceeds how long most people typically keep their TVs, notes Rtings. It corresponds to more than 12 years with 4 hours of TV use daily.
