Why did you become a journalist?
I was inspired to become a journalist by Ernest Hemingway, F Scott Fitzgerald and Ian Fleming. In addition wanting to make a difference in the world.
Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?
No, however I did contribute to my high school year book.
What story are you most proud of writing or working on?
My favourite story is about Power League Portobello, which I wrote on my second day at Edinburgh Live.
What advice can you offer to aspiring journalists?
I am one. However, you should get on Twitter, start a blog and keep reading any news from: the press association, Reuters news, the associated press and the agencies France Press as they are objective news agencies.

I've not had any bad pitches.

My favourite soft drink is lemonade or coke. My favourite alcoholic drinks are handy and Jack Daniels.
